THE STORY
It's a holiday tradition since 1990. Each year, while watching the cinematic masterpiece Home Alone, we try our hand at solving one of the world’s most elusive mysteries: What the heck did Mr. McCallister do for a living? Round trip tickets to Paris for 13 or so people (many first class), a lavish North Shore mansion and, of course, $122.50 of Little Nero's pizza. In addition, probably some very fine jewelry, possible cash hoard, odd marketable securities.
Though we all have our theories, we may unfortunately never know. During this magical time of the year we want to focus on family, cheer and the spirit of giving, but the older we get, we just can't stop thinking about what the McCallisters’ mortgage was.
