THE STORY
There's no better way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Chicago than narrowly escaping the pursuit of Tommy Lee Jones and the U.S. Marshals, snagging a free discarded green derby hat from the trash and being thrust into the downtown parade festivities (ala Ferris Bueller).
Fun fact: the scene from the 1993 classic The Fugitive was not scripted and the director was granted permission from Mayor Daley's office to film during the parade. The entire sequence was shot with a hand-held steady cam weaving in and out of the crowd who didn't know they would be in a movie.
"If they can dye the river green today, why can't they dye it blue the other 364 days of the year?" -Marshal Biggs
