THE STORY

Probably muttered dozens of times a day in classic neighborhood joints all over the US (most specifically in the Midwest)..."Fries just taste better in this bag". It’s hard to think of a more recognizable food package than this one that has held our delicious Chicago fries for decades. The creator, Fischer Paper Products, affectionately refers to their mascot as Chris P. Tater. Since the '70s, this iconic graphic and its fried contents have been a great companion to hot dogs, Italian beef, gyros, heck, even a shot of Malört.

Founded in 1972, Fischer Paper Products is a family run, multi-generational company that you probably use way more often than you realize. We are very excited about our collab with Fischer and the French Fry King of Chicago: Chris P. Tater. More than just packaging, it’s a symbol of trust, quality, and Chicago pride — a foodservice classic that’s become part of the city’s culinary nostalgia. The fry bag, and the smiling spud who fronts it, represent the heart of Fischer’s story: a family business built on relationships, reliability, and real human connection.
