They say truth is stranger than fiction. At least it was for the people aboard the Chicago's Little Lady tour boat, enjoying a beautiful day taking in Chicago's majestic architecture on August 8, 2004. Because at approximately 1:18 pm, their day took a horrific turn at the hand of the Dave Matthews Band.
As the story goes, the tour bus driver made a short stop over the Kinzie Street Bridge and emptied the contents of the bus' septic tank...all 800 pounds of it. The boat's passengers were the definition of being in the wrong place at the wrong time and received the horror from above. The band had to pay a hefty fine to the city and settled with the victims out of court. However, we thought the tragic anniversary needed to be honored the best way we could think of, on a t-shirt. #NEVERFORGET.
