THE STORY
July 12, 1979 at Comiskey Park was the night disco went up in smoke…literally. The highlight of the night was supposed to be the blowing up of a crate full of disco records in the middle of the field. The event supposedly attracted over 90,000 “strange people,” according to Harry Caray (Sox broadcaster at the time). This quickly escalated into a disco-hating, souvenir-stealing riot that forced the cancellation of the second-half of the double header.
Sport this throwback shirt the next time you put on a BeeGees record and get nostalgic about the great days at old Comiskey Park.
