We're Donating 15% of Total Sales to Meals on Wheels Chicago

It's been quite a week, Chicago. As I'm writing this, there are currently 288 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Illinois. We hope everyone out there is staying healthy and staying inside, while also continuing to support the local businesses that may be struggling. We here at Chitown Clothing want to help, so we are donating 15% of total sales to Meals on Wheels Chicago. This organization has made it their duty to ensure that Chicago seniors and those with disabilities receive nutritious meals, delivered to their homes, each week. They have been delivering hot meals for 32 years and serve nearly 10,000 homebound seniors each year.

With the virus most affecting seniors, and with the recommendation that the elderly do not leave their homes, Meals on Wheels has experienced a large influx of people needing help, especially when it comes to meal delivery. There have been several cases of seniors who are unable to do their normal shopping, and those who have family members that are out of state and unavailable to help as they normally would. We want to help ensure that no Chicagoans are going without food during this critical time. In these times of self-distancing and self-quarantining, please know that your purchase of a hoodie, tee or sweatpants from our store will help seniors in our community who are in need.
